Through live-streaming and the help of the public, this guy managed to raise $708 for a struggling hawker!

 

She previously made headlines when a taxi driver shared her story on Facebook, which eventually garnered support from the community.

 

This elderly hawker is Nisah, an elderly woman in her 60’s who works hard everyday. She also suffers from a leg injury which has caused her to limp. Her stall is called, M.Ellyshah Muslim Food, located at Potong Pasir.

 

From the last post we published on her story, it is known that she doesn’t ask her children for money but struggles to keep her stall up during these hard times. She is also known to help out the less fortunate in her community.

 

To help her with her difficulties, netizen Max Boimax live-streamed his plea for donations, which turned out to be a success when he gathered $708 for Nisah!

 

According to Max, Nisah was touched and teared up at the support she received from the public.

 

With this money, it will definitely cut Nisah some slack, and even let her have an off day from all the hard work!

 

Just about a week ago, when Nisah’s story surfaced because of the taxi driver’s post, who would’ve thought that she would instantly receive so much help!

 

It’s so incredible to know that the kindness of the public can be amplified by the means of social media. With just a live-stream, $700 from the community went out to help Nisah’s business.
