13 hours ago, this man named John, who has Down syndrome, was missing.
His family member, Audrey Koh, took her plea for help to Facebook in hopes to speed up the process of finding him.
As he is unable to verbalise well, it must’ve been very frightening for the family to know that he was out late at night alone. After the post was up on Facebook, people instantly started sharing the post and it went viral.
Comments flowed in with people who prayed for his safety, and others who comforted Audrey, writing that he will be okay.
As of 9 hours ago, John was found!
Audrey wrote an update to her post, thanking everyone involved. It is with the help of the Singapore Police Force, family & friends and the members of the public who shared the post, that John was eventually found!
The post has since been shared over 2000 times, with many who cheered that John was found.
It’s so incredible to see what our community of people are able to do over social media, within a span of 4 short hours. This post is yet another great example of the kindness of the public, that we’ll do what we can to help others.
To Audrey and her family, we hope that your hearts & minds can rest easy now, and to the public, thank you so much for your help!
